Macbook Calendar Mcp Server

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that securely integrates with the native macOS Calendar application. It allows AI models to read events and create new events securely using AppleScript without complex dependencies.
Overview

Mac Calendar MCP Server 📅

The Mac Calendar MCP Server is a native, zero-dependency bridge between Claude (or any MCP client) and your local macOS Calendar app.

Unlike other calendar integrations that require complex Google Cloud / OAuth configurations or exposing your private iCloud data to third-party web APIs, this server communicates entirely locally using macOS Apple Events. Your calendar data never leaves your machine.

🔥 Key Benefits

  • 100% Local & Private: No iCloud passwords, no OAuth tokens, no cloud relays. It securely reads the local database on your Mac.
  • Zero Configuration: Whatever calendars are visible in your Mac's Calendar app (Work, Home, Subscribed Calendars) are instantly available to Claude.
  • Highly Secure Architecture: Engineered to completely thwart prompt injection. User inputs are parameterized strictly as argv shells instead of script interpolation, removing any risk of arbitrary code execution.
  • Native TCC Support: Operates respecting macOS Transparency, Consent, and Control. You must manually grant UI permission the very first time it runs, meaning nothing can scrape your calendar silently.

🛠️ Tools Included

  1. list_calendars Quickly retrieves a list of all calendar names currently available on your Mac.
  2. get_events Fetches events within a specified date range for a given calendar name. It safely standardizes inputs using ISO-8601 formatting to avoid locale-specific timestamp crashes.
  3. add_event Securely creates a new calendar event, mapping the title, start/end dates, location, and description directly into the Mac Calendar application.

🚀 Quick Setup (Claude Desktop)

There is no complex installation required. Simply add this to your claude_desktop_config.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "mac-calendar": {
      "command": "uvx",
      "args": [
        "--from",
        "git+https://github.com/jayaprakashnarayana/mac-calendar-mcp.git",
        "mac-calendar-mcp"
      ]
    }
  }
}

//beforeyouship — LLM Cost Modeling From Your Editor
@Indiegoing

Query realistic LLM cost models without leaving your editor. beforeyouship models the **true monthly cost** of an LLM app architecture — retries, prompt caching, batch discounts, infra overhead, and 3×/10× growth — across GPT-5.x, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, and more. Not a token calculator: a planning tool for the design phase, before you commit to a stack. **No API key needed to try it** — demo mode covers the six free-tier models. A Pro key from [beforeyouship.dev](https://beforeyouship.dev) unlocks the full 18-model catalog. ## What you can ask - "How much will a RAG chatbot cost at 10,000 requests/day?" - "Compare Claude Haiku vs Gemini Flash pricing for my workload" - "What's the cheapest model for a multi-step agent at scale?" - "Show me current per-token prices for Anthropic models" ## Tools ### `estimate_cost` Full cost model for an architecture at a given usage level. Returns Naive / Realistic / Worst Case monthly cost per model, 3×/10× growth scenarios, and an opinionated recommendation with reasoning. ### `get_model_prices` Current per-1M-token pricing — input, output, cached input, batch — with context windows and staleness metadata. ### `list_archetypes` Seven preset architecture patterns (simple chatbot, chatbot with history, RAG pipeline, multi-model router, coding assistant, document processor, multi-step agent) used as starting points for estimates. ## Setup **Claude Code:** ```bash claude mcp add --transport http beforeyouship https://beforeyouship.dev/api/mcp ``` **Cursor / other clients** — add a remote server: ```json { "mcpServers": { "beforeyouship": { "type": "streamable-http", "url": "https://beforeyouship.dev/api/mcp" } } } ``` Add an `Authorization: Bearer bys_...` header with a Pro key for the full catalog. ## Try it > Estimate the monthly cost of a RAG pipeline at 10,000 requests/day
