Octoparse MCP Server

The official MCP server for Octoparse, enabling AI assistants and MCP-compatible clients to run structured web data workflows.

With Octoparse MCP Server, you can:

Search ready-to-use web scraping templates
Run supported cloud extraction tasks
Check, start, or stop existing tasks
Export structured data after a task is complete
Manage eligible resource or coupon codes

Authentication is supported through OAuth or an Octoparse API key.

Available tools

Tool	Description
`search_templates`	Find ready-to-use scraping templates for supported websites
`execute_task`	Start a cloud extraction task from a selected template
`export_data`	Export completed task data in a supported format
`search_tasks`	Search and review existing cloud tasks
`start_or_stop_task`	Start or stop an existing cloud task
`redeem_coupon_code`	Redeem eligible Octoparse resource or coupon codes

Typical workflow

Search for a suitable template with search_templates
Run the extraction with execute_task
Wait for the cloud task to complete
Retrieve the result with export_data

Notes

This server works with MCP-compatible clients such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Codex CLI, and Gemini CLI.
Only cloud-runnable templates are supported. Local-only templates must be run in the Octoparse desktop application.
Task completion and export availability may take time depending on the target website and data volume.
Scheduling, notifications, and automation are handled by the MCP client or external workflow system.
